We took a trip in to the city of Cusco today. It was time to restock the fruit, veggies and grains. What a gorgeous place! The streets give you a feeling of being in a postcard with the native blankets wrapped around infants, the cobble stone streets with narrow dirt alleys that wind in-between old church buildings and fruit stands.
At the market from yesterday I bought some colored bracelet string for the kids to make jewelry. I had in my mind that I would teach them how to braid and do different knots… Well, was I wrong! These smart little bugs went at it, showing me how to weave and create different patterns within the bracelet. Haha, showed me up!
Here at the house there is random artwork everywhere. They’ve done great work taking this place from unlivable white walled building, to a warm and colorful club home. The walls have been decorated by guest artist, kids, and other volunteers.
Well, there was one room that needed a little color so I asked if they had any left over paint I could “play” with.
